dude was on a visa and decided to get involved with a person who clearly wanted nothing to do with them n their religion, he got his sheets pillow and blanket and hopped into that bed n made it, op just made sure everyone laid in it, it was ops fault it was the churches for risking his visa and convincing him it was ok to keep going back to op

I "heart attacked" multiple people while a child. we were told we were saving them and being welcoming and they'd love it and now it just makes me feel sick that they had me doing their dirty work before I was even ten, I hate that fucking "church" so much

when my mom was in high-school, a Mormon proposed to her and she rejected him because they were barely acquaintances. he then stalked her and started a hate group about her and looked for anyone that even disliked her even a little bit

I was a missionary. These missionaries have lost that point. We are sent out to INVITE people to hear a message about Christ. They are trying to FORCE her to hear a message about Christ. Christ himself would disapprove. I am on OP's side.

Also, the people at her job and her friends telling her she’s also a bad person when they were the people who were also telling her to go through with it. It’s crazy. They literally saw how they were harassing her. It was not just them showing up at her house, they invited themselves basically in when she was having a gathering, and started preaching to people who clearly didn’t want that.

Life-long member and former missionary here (although not currently active). You're NOT in the wrong to get a restraining order. Although, as the missionaries will change, you may have to pursue legal action against the church.

why didnt she file a restraining order against her family? its pretty obvious that its her family is giving her info to the mormon church and the teen mormons is just being use by said church. will deporting the teen mormon resolve the issue when your parent and extended family is making it their mission to make sure you go back to the mormon practice?

is it true that family members go crazy when someone tries to leave the church cause they're told that the entire family will be barred from heaven if even one family member leaves? I had an ex-mormon friend tell me that and it makes so much sense

I live in Utah and it's 1000000% OPs uncle who is doing this with the rest of the family enabling him, he sees his niece not being a member of the church as an embarrassment on himself. LDS and JW are both cults but have been around for long enough that they aren't legally considered as such.

someone who is not Mormon but was raised in Utah. surprisingly, we get missionaries here too. I'm telling you right now the best way to get them to go away and to leave you alone is to be crazy. if you just say no, they end up sending a different pair of missionaries just a few months later. Go to home Depot and get a sign for your window that says "never mind the dog. beware of owner" how I always get missionaries to stop coming to my house every time I move is I throw on my stepdad's signature "who the duck are you and why are you here? get the duck off my porch"
