It’s because we took rugby and changed it slightly and rugby is also called rugby football so we just took out the rugby part. England started the name so it’s wasn’t Americans

I mean if we are being technical they should call it feetball because your kicking and dribbling with both feet not just a foot 🤷♂️glad we call it soccer because football makes no sense if your using both your feet to kick the ball, in the nfl yes you have a lefty kicker and a righty kicker but they are not using both feet 🤷♂️go cry back in your country if you think football is actually football in your country, its fkn soccer 🙄 hes only saying this because he didnt feel welcomed during the cup win 😉 use only 1 foot in "Football" then come talk to me, its fkn feetball 😂😂

Why would the Americans change soccers name. It's not even the third most popular sport in the USA. The rest of the world better keep playing soccer because once the Americans start focus on a sport its usually a wrap for the rest of the world. Example look at the Olympics the best athletes in the world come from America.

I played soccer for 7 years, I’ve played American football for 1 in high school, American football is wayyyyy better it’s fun and there is tons of teamwork from practice to game, but soccer is football and I don’t know why it changed in America to soccer.
