I love this! Back in college, one of my professors, who is in his 70s, and I kept running into each other one day when I wasn't going to be in his class. (It was my capstone course, so he knew the students pretty well.) We went to a seminar with a guest speaker for a different class, and the professor was there. He saw me, and came up to me in a similar way. He put his hands on my face and said, "We keep running into each other today!" and I replied, "I know, right? Weird!" One of my classmates was staring at us, and she came up to me afterward, very concerned. I was like, no, dude. That was not even a weird interaction with this professor. His entire class loves him like a grandpa. not at all the same, but your story made.me think of it.

By "in Hollywood" are you referring to the Ralph's on Sunset and Fuller or the Ralph's on Fountain and La Brea. 😉😅 Don't tell me you were in the Gelson's in Franklin Village... No wait, I can't imagine them having an under $5 cheese bin there... Fun story: I DID buy a couple hundred dollars worth of cheese at that Gelson's once -- in an act of desperation. 😂
