this movie made me feel human for the first time in my life, i cried. i have autism and people always treat me like im an alien, even in kindergarten i was not accepted because i was "too emotional" and "too weird", this is my Superman.

This movie deadass made me more confident in who i am. I had “friends” that called me gay because im an expressive person and i show my emotions very openly. I never thought it was a bad thing about myself but when you have people who you think you can be yourself around make you feel bad about who you are its hard to feel good about yourself. Superman showed me that i should just embrace it even more than i already do and seeing so many young men my age post how this movie made them realize being kind and being caring is the most punk rock manly thing you can do.

Being male and feeling things so deeply has always left me with this negative thought "maybe I'm weak". So much of the "male culture" paints that characteristic as a weakness and makes you "lesser"..but sometimes it just takes a reminder from Superman that that was never weakness. Far from it. I love feeling deeply. I don't ever want to turn away from it.

Another reason why Superman is my favourite not just because of the movies but because of the comics and what he stands for and how his family symbol means hope, he is the beacon/paragon of hope and how people are seeing Kal-El as the character he was made to be, the character I grew up with.He's compassionate, he sees the good in everyone even if they don't see it in themselves, that she's sees all life as beautiful and I love everyone's interpretation of Superman and how he brings our the best in everyone and to accept yourself as who you are
