I only feel ick posting if it’s not authentic me. So easy to get caught up in trying to look perfect but that’s not me so I just post me sometimes no makeup dressing gown sometimes dressed nicely but always 100% me

I post randomly on FB - the other day I posted a pic of a cute little bird that came and sat next to me at the park. I have no desire to be a content creator though 🤷♀️I just like posting the odd picture every now and then. FB is the only platform I use as it has all my old friends and family in the one spot.

I have more or less stopped posting over on insta the last 5 years, chuck out something every now & then but my ease with it as a process has disappeared. It feels convoluted now & stressful. I feel forced which doesn’t feel good so it’s more an obligation & then I overthink it 🫣

Because everyone is a “brand” and just about one thing. We’ve lost that multidimensional aspect.

I think it was introduction of “friends only/private stories” forced users to be more conscious about what they were posting, more people started having curated profiles to their broader followers and ‘mundane activities /voice of consciousness/ anything that could be perceived as cringe’ was relegated to private stories
