People in these comments are so brainwashed by China and fearmongers. It will take years until China will even consider starting their invasion. And that invasion would be basically impossible to pull off, it would have to dwarf Operation Overlord to even get men on the ground where they'd face decades of preparation, urban fighting and mountains. That is without any international aid foe Taiwan and sanctions on China.

Taiwan depends on the mainland for so much of its energy food and industrial needs. China doesn't need to do anything to take Taiwan. All China has to do is lay siege to the island by blocking all shipping and flights and that will be the end of Taiwan.
