I don't understand how the 'far right' thought they did something by scrutinising lena for not being conventionally attractive when that's pretty much hannahs entire trope in girls. I'm sure she's self aware enough to know she doesn't meet their standards, nor (imagine) does she care! 💀🙄

There’s a Shameless pod episode on her that details it all which is a good listen. I was a big fan in the mid 2010’s but it became hard to defend her as she was just constantly putting her foot in it and saying ridiculous things. Unfortunately didn’t love the new show

I think that line from her essay merely suggests that it’s quite rude to be sat next to someone at an event and be sat scrolling your phone instead of open to polite conversation. To suggest it has anything to do with race I think is sensationalising. 🙄
