I think what contributes to this is that too many of us creatives and artists hide our work away until work is “completely” finished. This gives a false sense of the process to learners of a new art/skill/craft. We should be opening up our workshops and sharing our processes including when we make mistakes and how we correct (or how we don’t!) so that creative process is more grounded in reality.

I have to use things in a slightly unintended way to break thru the perfectionism- like write in a notebook sideways just so I can make it a functional notebook for me 🙃 but it works 🤷♀️🥰
