I got pulled over once by a Texas State Trooper for window tint being too dark… I politely asked him if I could just pull it off because it was turning purple and I didn’t want it anymore anyways and he said sure… i pulled it off and he said have a great day and we went our separate ways.

Everything is about their safety. Rest of the world sucks in their eyes. We get tickets for the same they get away with. Tell me how tint saves their life? It want stop a bullet and there's nowhere to hide in a car!

Mi here PD hates me it’s a requirement for me to have it. They will leave their post thinking easy ticket until they run my plate. Spoils their plans you don’t see many MSP tahoes with tint😂 yes I bought a retired K9 Tahoe. But it’s a restriction for me just like my glasses that was a process to get

In my younger days I used to run double 5% all the way around my truck with the entire windshield at 35% and a 6” 5% strip….it was glorious

If the reason for tint laws is safety, but police are allowed to have it. Then the safety excuse is either bs, or they don’t care about officer safety. All love ofc. Sroka! Just an opinion I’ve always had.

sometimes no officer goes outside, and u can provide photos of your car without the tints. lol

For window tint you can actually go to the doctor and get a doctors note saying that your allowed to have your tint that dark and the cops can’t give you a ticket by law

No, they can't make you remove your tint right there on the side of the road. Nobody can "MAKE YOU" do anything. Just remember, there could be consequences.

I have a question officer. Can I put on a tint that lets in 75% of daylight but protects from the sun's rays? And it has a blue tint

the real question is why do law enforcement get to use darker than legally allowed and why do regular civilians with private connections to DMV and or law enforcement get away with darker than legal tint .....I see it all the time for reference I'm in NY and I'm speaking of law enforcement and civilian with New York plates....🤔

Imagine being an officer walking up to a blacked out tint car, on a routine traffic stop, just to get to the drivers/passenger side window to be greeted by a barrel;if they’re fortunate enough to see that barrel. Safety is bigger than just yours.

Years ago I had the under carriage lights got a ticket for dazzling lights here in central NY judge went it robe and all look under truck ya never k ow 😂😂😂

Im on the road in ri for 10 hours a day and see dozens of cars a day with full tint, it’s actually crazy that it’s just up to how the cops feeling that day.
