Wait... am I missing something? Even if you use the same SSID, 2.4GHz devices won't affect the faster 5GHz+ devices, they're separate radios. Even if the SSID is the same, any AP will still technically advertise two SSIDs, just different MAC addresses & frequency. So how's your comment true that you must take slower 2.4GHz off the same SSID? Genuinely curious, as maybe I'm missing something important?

For the non tech savvy - Hardwire everything and use wifi only for devices that are designed to be mobile. For the savvy - all of the above + VLANs. I love my outdated printers. They are cheap to run and almost never break unlike new ones.

A dedicated WIFI6 5.8 80mhz only SSID for modern devices and a legacy 2.4 SSID did wonders on my setup.
