@theperformancedoc: Why do you still walk with a bent knee after knee surgery? Three key 🔑 reasons: 1️⃣You lack passive knee extension - meaning you don’t have the joint and/or tissue extensibility behind the knee 🦵🏽 2️⃣You lack active terminal knee extension - meaning your quad isn’t strong enough to get into the end range of knee extension during gait 🚶‍♂️ 3️⃣You came off of crutches 🩼 too early - you have to figure out if you now are just using a compensatory pattern that you learned from coming off of crutches too soon.. or if you are dealing with one of the above issues ⬆️ Share this with a friend who had knee surgery 🗣️

I’m 7 months post op. Knee locks up and cracks due to scar tissue everywhere including near my acl. And I have a bakers cyst behind my knee.

Can I restore this years after an injury ? I feel like my gait is just like that I can’t bring my knee back. The back of my knee feels uncomfortable and under my patella. A lil arthritis. I got full extension after PT but I guess I’ve lost it over time. I fractured my tibia.

Tore my acl 18 months ago and haven’t done surgery yet. My walk still looks like this and it’s absolutely killing my hip. I have full ROM but I think it’s the mental part of me guarding against it buckling on me if I walk normally.

awaiting my knee surgery as I had a ACL PCL PLC ligaments being injured a drop foot and broken ankle. I live in Jamaica so the health system is crappy. I fell and ruined my knee in January and I was to do my knee surgery 1st May, the surgery got cancelled due to outstanding test that the hospital didn't make me do only to tell and broke my ankle May 14th when i slipped using my crutches to the restroom so I just did surgery on my ankle only July 14th. I now gotta wait 3-4 months to do my knee surgery and nerve Decompression or knee surgery and tendon transfer as I've had the foot drop from January. Pray for me
