"why don't you just make your own space away from the people oppressing you?" what a fantastic idea

I don't think his point was about building spaces, moreso being rejected from these same spaces he and other trans-men were part of prior to transitioning. The reason he brings up cis women is because they're most likely to say "all men are evil, and trans women are men", or also put down the identity of trans-men. while this "misandry" wouldn't personally impact me, a cis hetero presenting man, it absolutely leads to further oppression of trans-men, which is his point. The patriarchy works in favor of me and people like me, not trans-men. I think it's completely valid to point out that connection towards oppressing trans-men, since cis women are inherently more protected by society than them.

I’m a bi trans man and I’ve never understood other trans guy’s incessant desire to want to be “included” in queer women’s spaces. Maybe this is an unpopular opinion but I think instead of focusing on trans men being “included” into sapphic spaces we should be prioritizing the push to be in community with queer men and be in queer male spaces. If anything, I believe the transphobia and bio-essentialism perpetuated by cis gay men should be addressed more readily.
