I have alot of the same guilt when it comes to my children. I was in active addiction for the first 8 years, 6 year, 3 years of each child's life. One day I was at a meeting and saw a man explaining how because his Dad got sober and became the best man he knew, He knew he could turn his life as well. As much as I pray my children never make the same mistakes i did I hope they see the strength and power in turning your life around and fighting to become the best version of yourself. Where you have been no matter how low does not dictate where you can get!

Proudest- i got up and kept going after my daughter died. I didnt turn to alcohol, but i turned to healing deep within. Regret- i had children before i healed myself. Luckily like chris said, they wont remember the unhealthy version of me.

girl... you took the exact words out of my mouth.. I have been going through menopause and a spiritual renewal. I am 48, my girls are 22 and 18.. I have been going back and wishing I would have gotten my shit together..but they are the coolest amazing kids ever...and I can now take credit for that.
