“The rules are so strict!!!1!!11!” It’s to limit the amount of effortless slop that gets put on there (not accusing this post of being that btw). It’s an OPTIONAL event where the point is to put effort into creating, so yeah, they’re going to have rules in place to try and prevent people from just dumping random shit in there just to try and get free art. If you don’t like it literally do not participate. As someone who actually puts a bit of effort into my hobby, have had literally zero issues with the rules. And that’s the fucking point. They aren’t an issue for people who put in effort. Longer explanation about the rules below if you want: The reason why this in particular is against the rules (using the rooms app) is because it’s using preexisting assets that the poster didn’t have to make. So, it’s not ‘from scratch’, it’s an asset flip. An asset flip that clearly had effort put into it, yes, but something that’s still agaisnt the rules. If they were to allow this, then they’d wind up on a slippery slope of ‘then you should allow bases’ ‘well if bases are okay AI should be allowed’

Art fight is elitist and promotes the belief that drawings made in what they think is "the purest way" is the only way to make valid art. Photobashing and models should be allowed, argue with the wall because I won't change my mind.
