The problem is that we (creatives) work for people that have no taste/knowledge/education on colors, mood, and the why of things, why we suggest this, or why we do things certain way, this makes our lives hard because it’s almost like we cannot be over communicating all the freaking time… I would say that we need to educate clients, but when clients simply dont want to learn, then there’s not much we can do… Ive just learned to accept that some clients are not good match for me, and that’s ok. I like to work with clients that match my vision and understand it or at least if they dont, they respect my creativity andjust let me guide them.

ive come to a conclusion that clients or any project stakeholder don’t understand opinions are subjective and how something that isn’t to their personal tastes could still be on brand. The amount of times ive dealt with “i don’t like this color” and it’s legitimately the main brand color is crazy.

After a while of dealing with clients you learn how to read clients from the beginning. The moment I feel like they’re going to be a problem, I either hit them with a ridiculous number or just drop them and move on. Its bitter sweet when they agree to the ridiculous estimate though 🤣🤣🤣
