The inequality gap between the top and bottom is the widest it’s ever been. The middle class will continue to shrink until we are all at the working poor level and people who are already there will be in desperate poverty. We will be a 2 class country if government does not act with tax reforms to stop the gap from widening further. We must begin to tax wealth and not work.

Just moved to Nanaimo from another province. I’m 63 and knew I’d move to be near my children who all live out here. As I age (63) it’s better for them, but the costs are terrifying and I don’t know what to expect or how to plan. Also single people are so screwed compared to couples. I wish I could income share with one of my kids.
