hi sweetheart this is going to sound so stereotypical but i used to feel exactly how you described and genuinely the only thing that worked was loving myself the way i always wanted them to love me. i picked myself up on hard days, made myself smile, made sure my needs were met, filled my own cup. at first i was angry realizing how easy it was to love me, why couldn’t they just do it?? the anger turned into indifference with a slight tinge of pity, suddenly i knew my worth and respected myself and kinda pitied them for losing such a genuine person. i don’t really like talking abt this stuff in public comment sections so i’ll probably delete this in like a week but i thought it was important to let you know you really truly can get over them eventually from someone who’s been there
