After a year and the hard conversation, I gave him a month. Another year and a half later I finally left 🙄 It was easy to detach and move on tho and I didn’t even grieve, I was so happy to be free of the roller coaster and emotional immaturity ❤️

I get where you’re going with this but it’s a stretch to claim that according to psychologists ambigious loss applies to situationships. Are there attributes of ambigious loss that can be applied—sure, but what makes ambigious loss a unique and deeply gutting type of grief is that the individual is truly psychologically/mentally absent (dementia, severe mental illness, active addiction, brain injury, etc.) Again, I can see where you’re going with this but it’s definitely a stretch. Overtime, people have applied ambigious loss to divorce…but situationships…hmm

It took me almost 2 years to walk away from my situationship. Even though he knew what I wanted but he never stepped up. Always said well this is what I can offer and your emotions are just too much for me. Blamed my actions on him not wanting to build but never took any forms of responsibility.

Mine is with someone I’ve never met in real life. So not physically or entirely there but always there. I got out of limerence but still not able to let go cause I’m so bored. 😩
