The reason why the system is broken and no party cares to fix it is because of all the benefits we receive by having the undocumented here. We collect collect collect from them. The only thing we offer them is 3-day health insurance (which is also privately funded outside of the government), under emergency circumstances in the hospital ONLY. It is an economical benefit to the USA overall. That’s partly why CA is so wealthy. The undocumented are a huge part of the financial growth. Otherwise, with so many undocumented in that state, it would go under and it’s the complete opposite.

People are allowed to be here as residents and NEVER apply for citizenship. That is a choice. It’s terrible that people with legal residence status and even citizens are being mishandled by ICE to detrimental circumstances, all because of hate and incompetence.

I have been a tax preparer for over 25 years and I have done plenty of taxes for undocumented people. They pay taxes because there are immigration processes that help them get documented and the one basic requirement for all those programs is paying taxes. So even if they are getting paid only cash, they get their taxes done and pay. a

The Undocumented do not vote and will never vote. Puerto Rico has been a part of the US since the 1800s and they do not get to vote. IF Dems had an agenda they would start there. But it’s not true. Dens are not looking to get undocumented people the right to vote.
