Allergist.. They follow the same treatment plan.. Allergist can test for triggers and allergies. However, it is best to consult both.

Derm 100%. They will refer you to an allergist if they feel she needs one! But if you decide on an allergist get her tested for outdoor/topical allergens as well as food. Food isn’t always the issue. I found out I’m allergic to ingredients that are common in shampoos/conditioners/liquid soaps.

Hello. All my children have eczema. Steriods are only skin level. What worked wonders for my children are daily probiotics. I bought Culturelle brand. Hope this helps!!

@waffelina: It’s such a combination of causes. Primary care then whichever they recommend for specialist care. Either one is fine . But I think maybe derm because if it’s not eczema then they can identify what it is ! All the best mama!
