they refuse to acknowledge that literally NO ONE would do the job if it didn't come with tips.. I sure wouldn't work in the service industry if I wasn't make $30+/hr (my avg. tipped wage). Now if starting pay was $30/hr I'd consider it, but it's $7 soooo: no tips, no workers.

They don't understand supply and demand. If they didn't have these jobs, restaurants would close because they don't want to pay a living wage. Door dash wouldn't exist. Uber eats. Walmart delivery. Etc. sure they don't /need/ to exist, but there sure is a want for them to exist. Why do we expect them to exist without employees?

Blame America and corporate greed not the worker we as a country are so far behind the rest of the world tipping doesn’t exist yet only in America they actually get paid a livable wage at least at the end of the day you can say you have a job most ppl now can’t even say that

I’m so tired of people complaining about tipping for a literal luxury service of people bringing things to your front door. It’s the same type of people that go to a restaurant and don’t wanna tip there either.

exactly I feel the same. we should get rid of tips all together. we're one of the last countries that do it. I definitely don't do delivery at all just because that. I'm definitely a tough tipper. if it's crazy, people called out, system is out...ECT and you explain that in a professional and curious way I. an be very understanding and tip well but... so many times that's not what happens. abolish tips! I'll march with you. living wedges for everyone!

See, I understand waitresses and stuff like that, and I tip, if the service is good now, if I have to get drinks and stuff like that from other waiters, I'll tip them and not my actual waiter. But I'm kind of burnt out on everybody wanting a tip for everything now. You grab my drink and pull it across the laser. To ring it up, and then you expect a tip for it.

Their argument that tip based jobs are for students is also dumb, because if that’s the case, you’re only getting your takeout betweeen 4-9 buddy. No more 3 am pizza, no breakfast, no lunch

I am tired of people stating their opinions when it comes to tipping, especially Americans thinking that businesses will shut down. If you think this way, then you have never left the United States. The world has the same brands all over it, and they all do things differently than the United States and different countries. Not one business will shut down other countries have Uber. They have DoorDash.. they have it all. The problem in this country is greedy. Business owner is not wanting to pay a livable wage and expect the customer base to pay their employees. Honestly, this should be illegal.
