@ancestralwhispersdotorg: Facial reconstruction of a 5,200-year-old woman from Kazakhstan Kumsay, in northwest Kazakhstan, is renowned for its numerous kurgans, some of which were built by a distinctive group often linked with the Indo-European Yamnaya culture. However, craniometric and genetic studies classify them as a separate cluster. Like the Steppe Maykop culture, the Kumsay Early Bronze Age culture descends from two significant ancestral groups, the Eneolithic Steppe and West Siberian Hunter-Gatherer populations, with the latter primarily derived from Ancient North Eurasians.
