The fact that Gilded Age only started to get a vocal fandom when season 3 was announced means a lot of people are afraid of being a fan of a show that will get canceled It's one thing to like a show but finding a community of fans & creating things with & for them is a totally different experience.

All the recent media that has a popping fandom - that I can think of - is youtubers. Who generally put out at least a weekly video, and a lot of them stream multiple times a week. Have to feed the fandom for it to keep existing

I hate Netflix under estimating some of these shows I just watched olympo it was so good but you wouldn’t be looking for it because Netflix loves to promote shows that are doing well and not shows that could be doing well.
