work from home dad here. biggest thing is schedule and stick to it as much as possible. kids need regularity/structure when they are young. for lunches, finger foods i found to be the best. apple slices, grapes, berries, yogurt bites, veggie nuggies, sandwiches. foe activities, i usually give my kids a couple options like between drawing or reading. if im super busy I'll give them TV and set the time for an hour then they can choose something else. of course all kids are different, but it will make it easier on you as well once they know what to expect.
