what kills me is that even when I was genuinely triggered by a common problematic trope, spiral inducing, day ruining, anxiety attacks and tears, I had literally never once attacked someone over it. I blocked heavily, I applied SO many filters, venter heavily in private spaces, and I STILL knew it was on me to protect myself. It was writing a dark fic about that trigger that helped me the most in the end

I'm genuinely heartbroken over this because it's almost like... psychosis?? Antis telling people what they're doing is "illegal" and wholeheartedly believing that... it's scary. THANK YOU. As a CSEM/CSA victim I've only EVER been hurt/harassed by antis. They say you "deserve it" and are as bad as the people who abused you simply because you don't agree with them that fictional characters can't be victims.

Yes! I am so glad to hear it. These people need to realise that “a little bit” of censorship does not exist, and personal taste should not dictate bans. Additionally, fanfic does not ‘normalise’ or ‘glorify’ anything more than movies, or books, or games do. Lack of critical thinking has gotten to a point where even the tiniest bit of unsavoury action in a fic by a character has to have a long ‘I do not condone this’ message. If you think fanfic can seriously influence and mold others, then that is more of a personal problem. (Sorry for the rant!!)
