If emotional support is a priority to you then you need that fulfilled. Emotional support is important but why settle for someone that’s you’re just comfortable with but the sexual chemistry not there, they don’t complete you, etc. Why not just find someone who gives u the emotional support and the chemistry you’re looking for. Life is too short.

Don’t settle! Emotional support is so important and if I can’t lean on you emotionally what’s the point?! Your partner is who you’ll lean on when there is a death in the family, you get sick, have financial struggles, lose a job, etc. you want it to be someone that truly sees you and hears you even when you’re silent. Someone that is emotionally available will study you and know something is wrong before you can even tell them. They’ll go out of their way to not say or do things that’ll hurt your feelings.
