Half the people with no idea are the same posting dos videos thinking it’s ddos people also think it’s the size of the botnet which gives you power it’s also servers size/power and raw not filtered packets ect ect it’s a large topic

Damn, you talking about this reminds me of Windows 95 before 98 dropped ms-dos. Playing games like doom and Wolfenstein off dos was my childhood lol. I wish I got into a lot more of the networking side of things back then.

As always people fail to mention IPHM ddos attacks (using vps to spoof your src IPs in your traffic) as someone who has seen these kids around a lot. (I run a vpn service) that is what 90% of them are using not even bots or anything anymore from what I’m seeing in my pcaps
