My Korean mother apologizes for her accent all the time and I can’t tell you how many times I tell her that her accent is fine and beautiful. I have to remind her that she speaks TWO VERY DIFFERENT LANGUAGES! It hurts my heart

I’m one of those Asians that has a fake English name. I worked client facing and now I’m in HR. It annoying having to correct people every single time. I love my Asian name and everyone close in my life use it. But yeah, I get it.
