This is literally exactly where I’m at. She broke with me in tears saying we needed time to heal then then within a few weeks started dating my friend. it’s so embarrassing I don’t even want to be seen in public. It seems to be a perfect relationship giving everything I never got in such a short amount of time absolutely makes me question my reality. I got the worst of it.

The last two people that I dated ended up, both being dismissive avoidant, and both discarded me in an unexpected break up. I’m a loving, generous man, and although I know these discards weren’t about me, every day I fight my inner voices that are telling me I’m unlovable, and I hold no value. I don’t think people realize how traumatic and damaging these discards can be, even to someone who is confident insecure about who they are. The brain always tries to validate these negative beliefs. I’ll always question how someone can so easily leave you when all you were trying to do was love them. *sigh*😮💨💔

This is the thing, I was a rebound for someone and never knew… I’ve always been left with the feeling of what was real and what wasn’t. I’m convinced we had nothing and we were in two different pages and years later, I do see I was nothing for him. I get it.. but such a weird feeling when I feel like at the time we had something special but it was all lies. Fake really and unbelievable actually how used up I was and didn’t see the signs at 22..

Its hard not to be embarrassed. I was discarded from our marriage and he went to a married woman. Now all parties are divorced and they are still together 8 years.
