the older generation really shows their entitlement every chance they get. i’m gonna attribute at least 67% of it to the whole ‘respect your elders’ mentality that was drilled into us 😭 were the elders now, we’re expecting respect in the form WE think it should be presented in instead of acknowledging the way communication has changed since we were kids.

I thought it was just playfully, pointing out a quirk online the same way that Gen Z has been doing with so many silly and cringe things that millennials do for years on this app now. Wasn’t aware that required empathy because it seems like such a non-issue. Will take your perspective into consideration

THANK YOU! As a younger millennial I’ve been trying to explain to them that it’s THEM that’s the problem; not Gen Z, and that bridging the gap/fostering connection is the solution. They won’t listen though and insist that Im wrong, so I’ve just given up on trying to help 🤷🏿♀️
