i work at schools most of the time & i have an older coworker who genuinely thinks kids shouldn’t get free lunch & i can’t believe how u can see these kids everyday & say such heartless things

Thank you for sharing this. I honestly can't imagine going hungry as a kiddo. It makes me so upset to know that this is a reality for a number of people. I am child free by choice + I would prefer that MORE of my taxes go to feed folks of any age, but especially kids.

I am so sorry you went through that and I agree no child should go through being hungry. Now that I have two Son’s my husband I put money in their school account and we also will ask the lunch lady if we can put $10 on someone’s account once a month and she does and I hope that kid gets extra food because I remember sometimes not having school lunch too
