@pbsnews: President Donald Trump claimed Tuesday that the Jeffrey Epstein files were "made up" by former FBI Director James Comey, former President Barack Obama and the Biden administration. While speaking to reporters in front of the White House, Trump was asked if Attorney General Pam Bondi told him whether his name appeared in any of the Epstein records. The president responded, "No, no. She's given us just a very quick briefing and in terms of the credibility of the different things that they’ve seen." “And I would say that, you know, these files were made up by Comey, they were made up by Obama, they were made up by Biden," he added. Trump's comments come as his administration continues to face backlash over the Justice Department's report released last week on the investigation into Epstein. The report ruled out foul play, saying Epstein died by suicide, and found no evidence that he kept a client list to incriminate those involved in his sex crimes. But some of Trump’s allies are frustrated with the administration for moving on from the case and say they believe there's still a cover-up.
