Shamar has not signed his contract because the bangles are playing games. He is not under contract and he has every right in the world to go back to Texas and play college ball. He can go into the next year‘s draft and get picked up by a different team. The bangles play too many games with the contracts I don’t blame Shamar. Even his agent said do not sign this.

to the people in these comments saying it's not about the money or comparing this to the 2nd round holdouts: the other teams have 2nd round holdouts because one player got a better deal than the rest and they moved the bar unprecedentedly high. the Bengals do in fact suck, not just because they are a straight up poverty franchise who FAs come play for because they don't invest money in their and the day to day operations, but also because they have taken the bar and moved in unprecedentedly low. imagine your job comes to you and offers you a contract with no raise and tells you if you get hurt at work you're just fired and not gonna get workers comp or a settlement or anything. would you agree to that? no you wouldn't. so why would you expect this guy to? Bengals got a lot of catching up to do in the way franchises are ran and in a league where it's a race to the top, the FO is in a race to the bottom.
