Not to mention 75% of Russia is desolate tundra that nobody wants to “vacation” to. The US has an example of almost every climate on earth, Russia definitely does not. Apples and Oranges.

Yeah, I couldn't even afford to travel outside my state for my entire childhood. Even now, the only reason I left was for college and I'm in quite a bite of debt from that 💀

the real id in America is a internal passport even if we don't say it is you can't get on a plane if you don't have a passport to fly domestic you can't enter federal buildings with our a real id but it cost as much as a passport and as many documents

Internal passport is also enough to enter some post-Soviet countries like Belarus, Armenia, and Kazakhstan - so it makes it hard to give any estimates

It’s very easy for every Russian citizen to acquire an international passport. Rich or poor. It doesn’t matter. And yes. All kinds of Russians travel by plane to other countries for vacation.

No ID is needed to travel in the United States, just to drive, or get on an airplane, but if you could take a train/bus/walk you don't need one. It's actually illegal to be asked to identify yourself without cause.

Same with Americans. Only the rich can travel internationally, meanwhile most of us can just either drive or fly(mostly drive) to other parts of the US cause it spans a LITERAL CONTINENT AND HAS EVERY BIOM ON EARTH WITHIN ITS BORDERS!!

I work with a lot of Russians. Before them MOVING to the US, most have told me they never traveled outside of Russia for those reasons: Russia is HUGE and it’s expensive to travel outside of the country.
