Even called to make sure they put extra cream on the side (they didn’t). Then @DoorDash REFUSED to give me a full refund, said “they’re not able to”. Hi I work at Starbucks! Starbucks workers can only mark items as in stock or out of stock, and they can’t mark how many they have left of an item. Someone probably also ordered cookies around the same time as you, so they probably didn’t have the chance to mark them out before you ordered, and you ordered a larger amount. As for the cream on the side thing, any special instructions with your order, the baristas don’t receive them because mobile/delivery orders cannot have written modifications or instructions on them, and there is no way to order cream on the side as an item without paying for a cup of milk, and the door dasher can’t view custom instructions until they’re at your house delivering the item, so that’s why you didn’t get extra cream. There is no excuse for the drinks being made wrong.

I ordered Crumbl. They switched my cookies without telling me. I had to tell the manager that is bad for people who have allergies. Some allergies happen just by being near the item. You don’t have to eat it.

And what I don’t get is the restaurant can cancel the order if they are out of it. I’m a dasher myself and if I would’ve been handed this I would called our support line and told them that the restaurant needs to cancel.

Besides the boycott I had a mobile order at Starbucks I went to pick up and they literally cannot refund mobile orders in store if something happens to be out of stock. You HAVE to call sbux and they act like getting into your fucking coffee shop account is like Fort Knox

as a barista, we literally cannot contact you or the dasher or anything like that 😭 your order prints out just like a normal cafe or mobile ticket, if u had ordered 3 cookies and the tickets before yours were pulled all had cookies in them and they ran out….. nothing they can do atp 😭😭

so sorry this happened to you. yes we have a system to mark something as out of stock, BUT it goes down. technology has not been consistent for the last two years and we are stuck not being able to remove items from the menu. we know it affects you and we hate it, but we are literally just numbers in aprons to corporate and they don't care when our system goes down

we have those cards bc in store we literally have no control over doordash/grubhub/ubereats orders, there’s no way for us to cancel or refund items purchased through delivery apps 💔 it sucks but there’s rly nothing we can do but send the cards

As a former partner, it is not the baristas job to get you your items. My manager always told us to put the notes in because it was door dash’s responsibility. Once had a lady drive to our store to yell at us. Might as well have come to the store to get the drinks in the first place 🤣🤣
