Tonight we got to talking about how sad we will be when Z leaves us for college in December. To say I’m proud would be an understatement, but to say I am going to miss him would be too. At 8 years old, you entered our life. Just a little fat, mean, bad attitude little boy with anger problems. 🤣 Now you’re 17, with a heart of gold, a whitty personality that could light up any room and the best little brother I could’ve ever asked for. I was always the oldest of 2 sisters which I always took a lot of pride in, but let’s be honest … I was always a little too rough for Kastyn and Kynslee. (& not nearly as girly. lol) My whole life I wanted a brother. Someone I could beat up on, throw a ball with, talk crap with and cheer for throughout all his sports. You gave me all of that. Over the last 9 years, you not only became my little brother, you became my best friend. I hope you know that I will always be in your corner. I’ll always be your biggest fan. I’ll always protect you, love you, direct you and cherish you. You have a story that some never escape from. We may have been there to help guide you and gave you a place to stay, but YOU chose to do right, to change your path, change your outcome and break every generational curse that was thrown your way. You have beat all the odds and I pray you continue to do so! You get to go play ball for the next four years at a college that most people dream of. Watching you reach all your goals, brings me more happiness than anything. (Besides the day that I asked God into my heart) I’m not perfect and you know that, but every day I strive to be better. Part of that reason is because of you. I want you to always be able to look up to me as a good example. I always want you to enjoy life, have fun and live life to the fullest, but most importantly I want you to remember God. Remember where he brought you from, thank Him for the abilities that he has given you and never lose sight that there is always more to life than football. I pray that when you touch down in Athens, you show them every ounce of determination, grit and talent that you have… but more importantly, I hope you forever let your light shine and you show how God is/ has worked in your heart. This is your Senior year. Yours gets cut short, so enjoy every single second of it. I plan on soaking it all in because I don’t know what I’m going to do without you when January comes! I’ll be at every game to cheer you on and always be your biggest fan. I still have one more year before I have to be apart of that raggedy Dawg nation (LOL) but I’m grateful to have you as my brother & my best friend! I love you & Roll Tide (til next year)!
