That happened in 2006 or 2007, and it was ridiculously anticlimactic and the traffic was crazy easy, until I5 reopened and everyone started driving again.

I’ve lived in 4 states in my 38 years and Washington is the only one I’ve lived in that completely shuts down a direction of its main artery during the day in its busiest tourist season. Why can’t the work be done overnight like everywhere else?
