I think I follow the logic that this will get used as an excuse by big corporations to pay their teams less because "look what this smaller team did!!" but I would say why are we letting big corporations bloat and balloon their teams into such high numbers, that their games demand 100's of millions of dollars and creates incentives to raise costs to the consumer through base price and charging in game money? regardless though, I see what you're trying to say and let's never diminish it takes a village. let's not let them use this as an excuse either though
