I think they died accidently while the parents were asleep and they are covering it up. I am in NS and our teams are very good at finding people in the woods, if they were in an area they could walk to they would have been found.

something that just hit me was most kids wouldn't take a backpack to go out and play. heck they may have on flip flops with socks or dress shoes but to think to grab their backpack? so weird. I never thought about that before.

Thank you for so respectfully covering this case - it’s very local to me and the rumours and speculation are a lot and truly unhelpful. Based on my own experience in the same region in a missing person turned homicide case I know this is likely to take years to resolve. My partner was dumped in the woods and missing 3 years before recovery and charges were laid.
