@goodman.lafon: This was probably the most nerve wracking part of the comb project so far, and I’m so glad it’s behind me! Check out the first bonus part (part 7) to see the new reference comb and the beginning of this process. #artconservation #conservation #artrestoration #restoration #antique #comb #haircomb #accessory #hairaccessory #peacock #gilding #gilded #18kgold #plastic #oldplastic #tortoiseshell #costume #history #historicaldress #frame #repair #grandma #puzzle

This project is WILD. Lol. At first I thought you were restoring something that was a thousand years old.

I'm confused that this series is only about 2-3 months old, I feel like you started this comb restoration a year ago

Baby you got the patience of a saint. I can’t believe the dedication you’ve put into this piece. Been checking in from time to time and every video has astounded me how you keep on putting this comb back together. Amazing!

I feel like sewing needles to hold the thin bits in place would work well

This is so wonderful!!! Don’t forget to take an action shot of how the comb would look in a hairstyle! You totally deserve some time in a salon getting your hair done for some pro action shots!!

Mia Koda510 :
See this a perfect example of why it’s preferable to use reversible processes which ik is something you stressed a lot on your earlier videos in this series. To be clear I totally understand why you made all the choices you did along the way and they all are very sound but this is a great example for people who don’t understand why reversible techniques are so preferable

Do we have any pictures or painting of becky wearing the comb? With that curve im assuming it was a hair decoration comb rather than a hair detangler comb

I'm curious what the price tag would be. If you paid yourself a normal hourly rate plus materials (when you finish in another 7 months lmao)

hey this is an imitation of Egyptian hair comb but the original is made from olive tree wood.
it shouldn't be curved, if it is curved the idea is using it as a hair pin kind and it was curved by the owner.
