it depends on the personality of the dog. my friend got one for her dog and he hated it. he likes solitude. however, my senior citizen loved my puppy. so it really depends on the dog. its not overwhelming but as they get older I had to make sure my youngest knew to not overwhelm my oldest as his bones weren't what they were. the oldest passed this year. so it was hard to readjust my dog to the passing of her bestie.😭
