I’ve not been formally diagnosed with chronic migraine with aura but I def have it and I went a few years without having one (had them since middle school-high school) and then they started coming back randomly in undergrad and then in grad school and literally nothing I do works to take the pain and nausea away 😭😭😭

my migraine mean I have to sit in the dark, with a cloth washcloth and something over my eyes or im puking for hours. and at that point there is nothing in my system to throw up. some people just dont get

(After having them for 13 years and my parents knowing full well how hard I’ve worked to find solutions) “Have you ever tried chugging a Mt Dew and taking ibuprofen? That’s what my coworker does for hers and it works perfect!” -My stepmom. She did not agree that excedrin is essentially that but minus the Mt Dew chug 😭

By migraine I mean that my left face and arm go numb, I have slurred speech and confusion, loose vision. Then it’s followed by horrific pain in my head. 😭😭😭

what (somewhat) works for me. is those ice pack like compression caps and just pretending I dont exist to the world

I have a 9yo with trigeminal neuralgia and the amount of times I've been asked if he's faking it. 🙄 yeah, because he passes out from pain for fun.

Seriously. Like there’s a very big difference between a headache and a migraine. Headaches don’t make me pass out and puke profusely. My migraines definitely freaking do. And then people are like just take some Tylenol. Ummm that doesn’t work
