This happens to me too. I’m not on an adhd med, but I’m on an SSRI and a beta blocker and I just found out those can potentially cause this also. :/

Yes yes yes. BLAST water. Like more than you think. Liquid IV or some form of electrolyte thing is a good idea too,

Yep as well as antidepressants, anything over 80 with slight humidity has me drenched

It is common with a lot of antidepressants too and I’ve been aware for years and have to try to prepare every summer but it’s always still brutal

I’m autistic so the sun already makes me ill after a certain point, but I haven’t noticed an increase since I started Vyvanse.

yes but if I make a super concerted effort to stay hydrated (incl. electrolytes) and wear large hats, sunglasses, and sleeves it is much more manageable

No. Portland is actually warmer and the highs don’t come until 4pm bc of where it’s located in the time zone. You’re also acclimated to colder temperatures since that’s how it is most of the year vs consistency in SoCal. There’s also different allergens than in SoCal.

YUP well known side effect. If you’re on any beta blockers and SSRIs it all compounds. Very very important to lather in sunscreen but heat intolerance is a huge side effect for a lot of us too.

I’m very intolerant of both sun heat and bright light. And I know if you take SSRIs they can cause your body to not regulate your body temperature correctly. 😢
