if u want something sweet, gentle, & distracting- i think cardcaptor sakura & sugar apple fairy tale suffices. they are very cute, dreamy animes, do have dead parents in it but they aren’t too down-like. mushishi is a nice one too, it’s very relaxing anime!! please take care of urself, u will always grieve but the burden gets lighter 💕. i also lost my parent a long time ago. it gets better but it still hurts- sorry for ur loss.

Kotaro Lives Alone deals with losing family and is very sweet It touches on feeling completely alone in the world and then coming to realize that there are still loved ones all around you that will be patient and kind and you can trust to take care of you. Look Back deals with the loss of a best friend, especially good if you need to cry it out.
