Croissant Bread Pudding with Crème Anglaise 😋  Serves 4-6 hungry homies *preheat oven to 350-degrees Ingredients: 10-12 large croissants, cut into 1-inch cubes 1 cup whole milk  2 cups heavy cream 3 large eggs 1 teaspoon cinnamon 1/2 cup granulated sugar + 1/2 cup to top 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon Kosher or sea salt Directions: Combine the above ingredients in a bowl and mix until incorporated. Place the liquid over the cubed croissants and mix carefully.  Place in a lined 9 x 13 baking pan- top with 1/2 cup of granulated sugar. Put in a 350-degree oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.   For the Crème Anglaise Ingredients: 1 cup whole milk 1/4 cup granulated sugar  1.5 cups heavy cream 2 vanilla beans split lengthwise 6 large egg yolks 1/4 cup granulated sugar Pinch of Kosher or sea salt Directions: Place the milk, cream, sugar and vanilla beans in a medium-sized sauce pot over low heat.  Allow the beans to steep with the milk and cream for 10-15 minutes.  Strain the beans from the hot liquid. Put the egg yolks and sugar in a bowl and mix until light and fluffy.  Slowly add the hot milk and cream mixture while stirring- this is called tempering. Place the sauce back on the stove and cook over low heat until it coats the back of a spoon- this takes approximately 10 minutes. Cut a pice of the bread pudding and top with the sauce.
