Not even close to anything called failure, if the weight moves that fast aber a few second of rest.

There is no way in hell she failed that rep waited 5 seconds in the weakest part of the movement and rocketed up like that.

Yep and If it moved that fast after a few seconds pausing at the bottom, I question whether if it was failure in the first place

Yea and based on how that rep moved after only 5 seconds she didn’t actually hit failure she simply just gave up lol

They’re just starting a new set after a 5 second rest

Is 5 setsx 4reps the same as 10 x 2?

It’s so hard with legs because is such a metal game they’re the strongest muscles in the body and trining them is very gruelling! I agree with you- if she was at failure then that last rep would be much slower

Most people define failure as inability to do a complete concentric rep, so lengthened partial reps or forced negatives (eccentric) reps can also be done after you reach failure.

You can do Mechanical failure, drop set failure, rep failure, bit true muscular failure is almost impossible to reach

@Josh Nabbie I’m 1 full day post show and I’m up 15 lbs, I have been locked in on my nutrition and hydration and haven’t binged. Is this normal?

Hot take: I don’t think we should care at all about the “past failure” conversation. Kudos to her for working within close proximity to task failure. Good teaching moment here tho. Good stuff, brother

I want to refute this, because of how i feel when lifting. However i don't actually do myo reps. I have some sort of breathing issue/oxigenation issue, i tend to get really tired really quickly (no clue what causes it, neither do docs). This means when i lift specifically, i get way too tired on higher rep ranges. Even if im lifting 50% of my 1rir, i can barely squeeze out 8-10. What i do now, is just less reps in higher weight. Because well, i can't hit those high-reps. But if someone is in the same position as me, gets 8 reps in, and is failing due to their breathing/oxygenation/whatever it is. I think its valid, because we can't physically produce the same results, so we need to kinda *hack* our way around it

So she did a myorep, she kind of proves that no matter how much muscle you have on your body if you’re wrong, you’re still wrong…
