As a Kansas Farm boy, I don't have a "rural" or "southern" accent. Just a flat American one. I of course know people who have country accents, but just as many dont have them.

Kansans have a pretty "neutral" accent. Depending on where they put Smallville on the map, though, maybe he could throw in a quick "warsh" at some point. Just a little one. Barely hear the r. But it's there.

Absolutely yes. The man’s parents were rural Kansas farmers for gods sake. I get why as Superman he’d try and hide it, but it absolutely should come out just a little when he’s frustrated. Maybe even more often when he’s Clark
