One of my dance teachers as a kid emotionally damaged me; constantly compared me to other kids, picked on me for my outfits I wore, the friends I had, etc. I will never forget any of that.

The most insane thing I’ve realize in the past few years, especially with the rise of ‘gentle parenting’ is that having empathy for children and seeing them as human beings is an extremely new concept. I genuinely believe millennials are the first to do so which is why we’re seeing such a change in children’s behavior also

probably because we were filthy accidents and they didn't want us, but because of familial/societal/government pressure they either couldn't/wouldn't get the abortion or give them up at birth
