Story starts 03:35: water main broke in the city so no water anywhere. Without knowing this, the guest went around the house and turned the water faucets on to troubleshoot. A tub faucet was left on accidentally and caused the house to flood.

I do think your feelings of being upset are totally valid. But I also think the previous videos made it seem like this was going to be much more of a malicious thing like they had a foam party or indoor slip n slide or something. Not saying their negligence was ok, but I do think the videos were somewhat misleading, so when ppl hear what happened it’s like… oh… this is a totally different situation than I thought.

They’re grown adults. They should know to turn a faucet off after turning it on. Were they not there to turn off the faucets when the water came back on?? Again, they’re ADULTS. They’re responsible for their actions in your house.

Imagine having a light on, and you accidentally leave it on the “on” position during a blackout, so it’s on when the power comes back. Same thing. This was an accident, you’re being accusatory for no reason. I’d also request a refund if I were them.

You guys are mad disrespectful, she has every reason to be upset. If you’re a guest you should be respectful and take care of the home that YOU YOURSELF DO NOT OWN. yes the person at the Airbnb didn’t mean to flood it but they didn’t even apologize to her, for the !!!$100,000!!! she had to put into it to fix the home, she’s entitled to be sad the amount of money and thought and time that went into creating that home to be what it was is going to hurt.
