My son was diagnosed with Kawasaki Disease at the age of 3. No one believed me when I said something was wrong. I took him to 3 hospitals and his primary care Dr and everyone looked at me like I was crazy. Methodist Hospital finally caught it. This episode hits home.

Stat in the ER at 26 weeks pregnant for HOURS with vision that would randomly get blurry, migraine, eye strain, dizziness, and more just to be told “it’s normal in pregnancy” & “every pregnancy is different” THANKFULLY my OB delivers at that hospital and argued for me and got me admitted…. Turned out I had a blood clot and fluid behind my optic nerve. spent the next 5 days being treated and now seeing SEVERAL specialist

I had kawasaki when I was 3 with a 104 fever it took one doctor to notice that my feet were peeling for them to diagnose me. I had to get blood transfusions and was in Riley’s for about a week.

I went to the ER with a Migraine that lasted for 2 days. I had never had a Migraine before in my (at the time 34) years of life. Waited in the ER for 7 hours. doctor did no physical exam, gave me a migraine pill and said "all better?" well yeah. next more Migraine came right back. went to my doctor, she screamed and cursed the ER doctors and then asked, "Do you have a Rash?" I lifted my shirt and bam! Shingles. 15mins and she had it answered. still had to shell out $3500 to the ER 🤦♂️

my gson also had kawasaki and we had to fight for them to believe us. 2 rounds of ivig, a week admitted. a year on aspirin, follow up heart echos.

My son had Kawasaki disease at 13 months. We were very lucky that a local doctor said, I have no idea what this is, and sent us to PICU at a hospital with an excellent cardiologist who knew what it was. IVIG and a week hospital stay. Echos until he was 8. Never had any issues from it.

My son AND we are sure my daughter had this same thing at the same time! They say it’s rare but so many other kids have gotten it too. They should check for it more often

My son was diagnosed with Kawasaki at 4 1/2 and we went through four different antibiotics in four days before they finally admitted him and it took a week after that to figure it out. He has two aneurysms to this day and he’s 37.
